COLTON — The Friends of Higley Flow Park will again sponsor cross-country ski lessons for adults wanting to learn to ski or to enjoy the sport more by improving your technique while meeting other skiers.
Starting Jan. 19, a series of four consecutive Sunday lessons are planned from 1:30-3 p.m. The first lesson is free; register for three additional lessons for $30. Lessons are based on a web-based program developed by Nordic Ski Lab in Calgary, Alberta, only with real-live Higley skiers coaching.
Rental skis are available at the Higley Flow State Park headquarters before the lesson for beginners or those without skis for only $7 per adult.
The Friends want to recruit experienced skiers willing to donate a couple of Sundays to help coach.
To pre-register for lessons, help coach, or for more information contact Danielle Jerry at nordicmasters@higleyfriends.org, or visit the Friends of Higley Flow website higleyfriends.org or Facebook page.
