Christopher W. Austin, 38, formerly of Ogdensburg

ROCHESTER -- Funeral services for Christopher W. Austin, age 38 of Rochester, NY and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday (August 1, 2024) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Schirmer officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Ogdensburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be held also on Thursday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at the funeral home.

Christopher passed away from a fatal stab wound on July 26, 2024 from an unprovoked altercation at a gas station in Rochester.
Surviving are his parents Evelyn LaFlair and her companion Dan Dishaw of Ogdensburg; the love of his life Jennifer Micciche of Rochester; sons Colston Wade Austin of Myrtle Beach and his infant son Noah Christopher Austin that was born on July 27th; a brother Scotty (Skyler) Austin of Ogdensburg; a sister Barbara Austin & her companion Derek Remington of Lisbon; uncles Billy LaFlair & his companion Donna Donnelly of Heuvelton; aunts Sandra Pike of Ogdensburg, Michelle Austin of Plattsburgh and Connie Austin of Ogdensburg; a nephew Urijah Austin & his mother Jessica Stiles of Ogdensburg; a special person in his life, plowing buddy and so much more Robert Bracy of Ogdensburg; and special friends Corey Binion and Brandon Kinch of Ogdensburg.
He was predeceased by his father Leo Austin; a brother Tommy Austin, uncles Shane Austin, Robert Hughes and Richard LaFlair; an aunt Pam Austin; paternal grandparents Elizabeth & Harry Austin and maternal grandparents Bill & Barbara LaFlair.
Christopher was born on April 11, 1986 in Ogdensburg, a son of Leo Austin & Evelyn LaFlair. He attended local schools for his education and later relocated to Rochester where held employment with Dolomite Gravel, Two Men in a Truck and Service Express.
Chris immensely enjoyed adopting abused dogs giving Tip, Po, Peppa & Cookie the best life that any dog could ask for. He was also a devoted Raiders football fan and enjoyed working out, time with family, traveling and watching sports.
