POTSDAM – Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (“Casella”) has made a $100,000 commitment to the St. Lawrence Health (SLH) Foundation’s Great Care, Right Here Fundraising Campaign to support the construction of the SLH Regional Care Pavilion and other vital initiatives at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
The Foundation’s Great Care, Right Here Fundraising Campaign goal is to raise funds from government sources, individuals, private foundations, and vendors to help support the construction of the Regional Care Pavilion, and advance workforce development through education for our clinicians, who are at the very heart of our organization.
“Investing in organizations who share a commitment to ensuring the health and safety of our community members is critical,” said John W. Casella, Chairman and CEO of Casella. “We believe that sustainable communities are built through service, and the ability for St. Lawrence Health to expand and continue to serve the community by providing excellent healthcare is vital to the people who live here.”
SLH President Donna McGregor has championed the Regional Care Pavilion as an important and valuable investment that will increase access to high-quality emergency, obstetric, and inpatient care for residents of St. Lawrence County and the entire region.
“As SLH continues to expand services and access to healthcare, we are thankful for the significant support and partnership of Casella, allowing us to strengthen the health and wellness roots we have sewn in this community,” Ms. McGregor said.
Great Care, Right Here Campaign Chair Jacquie Kuno commented, “Healthcare is the heartbeat of any community, and this project will help to ensure St. Lawrence Health’s future for years to come.”
