CANTON -- A Canton woman was charged Sunday with possessing drugs inside St. Lawrence County jail, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Elizabeth A. Briggs, 32, was charged with promoting prison contraband, felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
She was allegedly in possession of cocaine.
Briggs was arraigned in Canton court and remanded to St. Lawrence County jail, deputies said.
