CANTON – A Taste of Vermont, 11 Main St., delicatessen featuring cold and hot sandwiches, paninis, and salads had a busy opening day today, serving an estimated 250 sandwiches, according to owner Robert Gladding.
The eatery serves Boar's Head meats and also offers a variety of other hand cut to order sandwiches, salads, chips and beverages.
Gladding said he has been a chef all over Vermont and told North Country Now that he has never seen an opening like the one he experienced Friday. By noon, 75 orders were placed.
Business hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
