POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Summer Festival Thursday, July 11 through Saturday July 13 will feature over 40 bands, a kid's festival, ice cream social, 5K run, laser tag, fireman's run to the river, classic car show, fireworks and more.

From rock to jazz, blues to folk, the musical lineup offers something for every musical taste on downtown Market Street and in Ives Park behind the Clarkson Inn.

The festival will also feature over 50 vendors offering handmade crafts and locally sourced products from the North Country’s finest artisans. From unique jewelry, handmade crafts and artwork to delicious gourmet treats, there’s plenty to explore.

On Friday, July 12, the second day of the Potsdam Summer Festival kicks off with the Fall Island Fiesta Children’s Event, offering a day of interactive fun for families with more than 10 engaging activities.

Activities include locomotive train rides, library story time, engaging museum activities, rock painting, and more.

Old and young alike will enjoy a wide variety of antique and classic cars on display 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in Ives Park.

After-hours events, including live music performances and special late-night activities including a Pub Crawl, Beer, Wine & Cider Tent party, fireworks and more are planned throughout the festival.

As the sun sets on Saturday, the Potsdam Summer Festival ambiance continues with evening entertainment and dining options that ensure the excitement lasts well into the night.

On Saturday, watch for a grand finale fireworks display that lights up the Potsdam night sky and can be viewed from Ives Park will cap off the festival.

The annual event will also offer a diverse selection of food trucks offering freshly prepared meals.
