Joyce Ann Patnode Worley, 57, of Schenectady, formerly of Massena and Norwood, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife for 30 years of John C. Worley.

Born in Massena, NY, Joyce was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Thelma J. Mitchell Patnode and was a graduate of Massena High School. Joyce spent many years working and raising her family in Norwood, later moving to the Capital District where she has resided for the past 15 years.

Joyce was a legal secretary employed by several law firms during her career, retiring in 2003. She was a very artistic women, she had a passion for sewing and was an avid quilter. Joyce loved her family and friends and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors in addition to her beloved husband John include her children, Heather (Kenneth) Linacre of Colonie and Brian R. Murphy of Colorado; her cherished grandchildren, Hadden M. and Evan R. Linacre and Grace J. Murphy; her siblings, Duane (Nancy) Patnode, Philip (Jen) Patnode, Karen (Jerry) Murray, Marilyn LaPeter, Yvonne Fuller, Valeria (James) Gibson and Mary (Al) Mesrobian. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews of whom she loved so very much.

Funeral service were held Tuesday May 3, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Bowen & Parker Bros. Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Family and friends called at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
