LISBON -- Funeral services for Jeanette G. Mann, age 91, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (Oct 13, 2018) at Foxwood Memorial Park chapel with Rev. Frannie Knott officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Mann passed away on Saturday (Oct 6, 2018) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her children Thomas (Pamela) Mann of Addison NY, James Mann and his companion Diane Price of Ogdensburg and Janice Mann of Lisbon NY; A brother David (Betty Jean) Van Order of Covington, PA; grandchildren Michael (Kim) Mann, Kelly (J. Scott) Griffith, Brent Mann, Deanne (Doug) Sholette; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Her husband Thomas; a brother Kenneth Van Order; a sister Marguerite Torpy and a grandson Brian Mann predeceased her.
Jeanette was born on April 30, 1927 in Wellsboro PA, a daughter of the late Elmer & Emma (Hutchinson) Van Order. She graduated from Wellsboro High School and later married Thomas Mann on July 26, 1944.
During her career she worked at Corning Glass in Pennsylvania, and later relocated to the North Country and began working at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center in the Laundry Department. She retired in 1985 after 25 years of service.
Jeanette was a former member of the Lisbon American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed snowmobiling, playing cards, board games, pizza parties, socializing with friends and spending time with her family.
