Dustin C. Perry, 70, St. Regis Falls

Dustin C. Perry, age 70, of St. Regis Falls passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington where he was admitted that day.

He was born on October 21, 1940 in Potsdam, the son of the late Charles and Margaret Parker Perry. He attended School in Hopkinton. Dustin drove dump truck and tractor trailer all his life then retired from LaValley Transport, Potsdam.

In his free time, Dustin enjoyed working on cars, playing bingo, but he especially enjoyed the time shared with his grandchildren and his cat “Snoopy.” He will always be remembered as a providing and devoted husband. He was a Catholic by Faith. On February 12, 1992 he was united in marriage to Barbara Bartlett.

Dustin is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara Perry of St. Regis Falls; a son, Edward Simon and Fiancée Sherry Urtz of Potsdam; daughters Melissa Andrus and fiancée Scott Mess of Warsaw, and Tammy Simon of Waddington; 10 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Dustin was predeceased by one sister, Betty Debiew.

Friends are invited to call at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira, on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow calling hours and will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Flint Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred H. Fish officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Hopkinton.
