Woman arrested at Syracuse airport after stealing vehicle in Norwood, troopers say

NORWOOD — A woman was arrested Tuesday after stealing a vehicle from the village the day prior, according to state police.

State police arrested 43-year-old Jody L. Laster, Desert Hot Springs, California, after she allegedly stole a vehicle.

A debit card and a quantity of U.S. currency belonging to the victim was in the vehicle at the time, police said.

Laster was reportedly located by Syracuse Police at the Syracuse Airport.

She was charged with two counts of third-degree grand larceny and two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, police said.

Laster was arraigned by Morristown Town Court and released on her own recognizance and ordered to appear in the Town of Potsdam Court to face the charges at a later date.
