Ogdensburg City Police joined protestors Monday in Ogdensburg as they marched to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Prior to the march Ogdensburg Lt. Robert Wescott told protestors that he and fellow members of the department were appalled by the video of George Floyd's death. The march started out with around 20 people but grew to well over 50. The march was marked with chants of "I can't breathe" and "black lives matter." While largely peaceful a few drivers took the opportunity to express their opposition to the march. Ogdensburg police officers Streeter and Vine accompanied protestors on the march and were welcomed with open arms.
