Two charged following alleged knife-point robbery in Massena

MASSENA – Two face charges after a victim was allegedly robbed at knife-point at Tuesday night, according to state police.

Troopers responded to 170 Highland Road in the town of Massena for a report of a robbery.

The investigation revealed a male subject was held at knife-point by Gerald L. Dissotle, 48, and his daughter Patience M. Dissotle, 27.

The Dissotles allegedly stole $214 and a cell phone from the victim.

Both were later arrested.

Gerald Dissotle was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Patience Dissotle was charged with first-degree robbery.

Both defendants were arraigned in the Town of Massena Court.

Gerald was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail with no bail.

Patience was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.

Both defendants are to reappear on July 12, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the Town of Massena Court.
