POTSDAM -- The town-wide Cleanup Day is set for Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.
This is a job for volunteers, from the colleges and the community, to spend a couple of hours helping with spring cleanup chores in yards, parks, cemeteries, roadsides -- wherever it's needed.
The designated hours this year are 10 a.m to noon. Volunteers who have not already been organized and assigned jobs should meet next to the Rescue Squad building on Elm Street on the IGA side. There will be tools, trash bags, and gloves for volunteers to use, according to Town Councilor Rose Rivezzi..
Most assignments are within walking distance, but volunteers with cars are encouraged to take people to any sites that a farther away.
