NICHOLVILLE -- Three people were left homeless following a trailer fire this morning at 469 County Route 51.

Nicholville Fire Chief Justin Sweet said the blaze was reported shortly after midnight by a neighbor.

No one was home at the time of the fire. However, the residence was home to one adult and children ages 8 and 10, according to the American Red Cross.

Sweet said the trailer was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. The home is considered a total loss.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation, Sweet said.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Hopkinton, N. Lawrence, Brasher and Lawrence also responded to battle the fire.

Nicholville fire was back in service at 4:30 a.m.
