OGDENSBURG – A teen with Ogdensburg connections has advanced to the top 3 on American Idol.
Madison VanDenburg, a 17-year-old high school student from Cohoes, was one of the lucky three to survive after performing “What About Us” by Pink, “Your Song” by Elton John, and “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele (written by Bob Dylan).
This week’s competition required each “Idol” hopeful to perform a song chosen by mentor Bobby Bones, a song by Elton John, and a song for Mother’s Day, respectively.
Madison’s great aunt and uncle are Barb and Ken Ferguson. Sue Montroy, Chrissy Fisher, and Julie Trombly are her cousins. All are from Ogdensburg.
Her family is asking people to vote for Madison Sunday, May 19, 2019.
