CANTON -- TAUNY is once again offering locally made Adirondack Balsam Wreaths for sale this holiday season.
There is an earlier deadline to order wreaths this year and all orders must be submitted by Friday, Nov. 22 for a Dec. 7 pick-up date at The TAUNY Center in Canton, or to be shipped to family and friends across the country.
Each year, TAUNY works with naturalist and North Country Heritage Award recipient Jane Desotelle to offer handmade balsam wreaths for the holidays.
All wreaths are made to order with generous quantities of balsam fir and natural decorations from the woods of the Adirondack foothills.
The wreaths, which make wonderful gifts, are long-lasting, fragrant, and can usually remain on display until Spring.
Wreaths are available in three sizes and with various color options.
The prices by size are $30 (small), $40 (medium), and $50 (large), and can be shipped anywhere in the US for additional shipping charges.
Details can be found and orders can be placed online at tauny.org/shop or at The TAUNY Center, 53 Main St.
More information is available at 315-386-4289 or by emailing development@tauny.org.
Half the cost of each wreath is a tax-deductible donation to TAUNY.
