Expect plenty of sunshine today with high pressure remaining in control until our string of dry weather comes to an end on Wednesday as a cold front moves into the region late

in the day and helps enhance the potential for showers, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The threat of some thunderstorms will exist Wednesday afternoon and evening with a 60 percent chance of precipitation, NWS says. The cold front will exit the region late Wednesday night and bring most showers to an end.
