Expect plenty of sunshine today with high pressure remaining in control until our string of dry weather comes to an end on Wednesday as a cold front moves into the region late
in the day and helps enhance the potential for showers, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The forecast calls for a high of 83 degrees today with sunny skies. Winds will be south at 9 to 14 miles per hour. An overnight low of 63 is expected.
The threat of some thunderstorms will exist Wednesday afternoon and evening with a 60 percent chance of precipitation, NWS says. The cold front will exit the region late Wednesday night and bring most showers to an end.
A high of 79 is predicted for Wednesday and an overnight low of 58 is in the forecast.
Cooler temperatures and the threat of more showers is expected for Thursday, but a warming and drying trend will begin on Friday and continue into the weekend, the service says.

Wednesday
A chance of showers before 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2pm and 4pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night
Showers and thunderstorms likely before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday
A 40 percent chance of showers after 9am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. West wind around 13 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph.
