CANTON -- St. Lawrence County legislators appointed an interim Department of Social Services commissioner during a special meeting.
The board named Heather Wenzel to the post at a $93,227 salary, effective March 31.
She replaces the current director, Chris Riedehs, who retires March 30.
The resolution was passed by the full board at a special meeting on Monday, March 16.
