Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 5:56 am

Light to moderate snow will continue to expand in areal coverage across St. Lawrence County today and then exit the area from northwest to southeast tonight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Total snow accumulations are expected to be 1 to 2 inches below 1000 feet, 2 to 5 inches up to 2000 feet and around 6 inches at the highest summits of Northern New York.

Potential impacts from this event include difficult travel conditions due to snow on roads and wet roads becoming icy as temperatures fall into the 20s overnight.

Snow showers will likely taper off around 2 p.m. with a high temp around 37, the service says.
