Her name may sound familiar to many in the North Country as she previously worked as a nurse practitioner at Gouverneur Hospital’s Edwards Health Center, and as a registered nurse at E.J. Noble Hospital.
“When I went back to school to become a nurse practitioner, my original plan was to offer a female provider to women in the Gouverneur area for gynecological care,” Brown said. “Being able to join the OB-GYN team is the opportunity for which I have been waiting.”
Brown earned her family nurse practitioner degree from State University of New York Institute of Technology, Utica, and she is American Nurses Credentialing Center board certified.
As an obstetrics and gynecology nurse practitioner, Brown will focus on female sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, and delivery. She shall deliver primary health care to women from adolescence through childbearing to advanced age.
