A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for St. Lawrence County with showers and thunderstorms expected this afternoon that may be strong to severe, with gusty winds and heavy rainfall, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
There is a 70 percent chance of rain today with a high near 83, NWS says. About a quarter to a half inch of rain is expected.
There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight with an overnight low around 68, the service says.
Wednesday will see a chance of afternoon thunderstorms with otherwise partly sunny skies and a high around 83, forecasters say.
The forecast through Monday is as follows:

A chance of showers before 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

A 40 percent chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
