Potsdam's Big Spoon kitchen changing meal pickup locations

POTSDAM -- Big Spoon Kitchen will continue to provide meals each week until mandated to cease operation, with a few changes starting this week.

Curbside pickup of the weekly menu options will still be available at Big Spoon between 3 and 6 on Tuesdays.

There is no longer a pickup location available in Canton. For the time being, Gamer Craze has closed to comply with New York statewide mandates.

Anastasia's Bakery, 3740 County Rd 14, Madrid, will be a new pickup location from 4 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. While Anastasia’s is currently closed, the owner has offered the space, as Big Spoon tries to extend reach to any community members who need or want their food.

“We'd also like to encourage the use of our delivery service, which again will help reduce contact between individuals, and will allow customers to social distance while still receiving our food,” Big Spoon co-owner Will Trithart said in a news release. “We deliver within 15 miles of Potsdam. If selected at checkout, please leave a cooler outside of your delivery location from noon to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. This will ensure your food stays cool and dry in the event of bad weather while allowing reduced contact between our employees and customers.”

Big Spoon also has a freezer inventory online, and frozen meals including soups, stews, tamales, and sweets can be added to weekly orders.

The menu is posted Thursday through Monday morning with online payment and ordering at www.bigspoonpotsdam.com. Payment can be made online with debit or credit card.

Accounts can also include multiple delivery addresses in order to have food delivered to a loved one, work address, or neighbor.
