POTSDAM – The Town Council has approved expenditures to purchase a new pickup truck for the Highway Department and several computers for the Elm Street offices.
The board agreed to spend $37,340 for a new 2018 Ram 4500 truck from Blevins Motors in Potsdam, to replace a worn out truck. Highway Superintendent John Keleher said he first tried a state purchase program that could not offer a good enough truck at a good enough price. The truck will be used for general duty and part of the time as a plow.
And the town will spend a total of $9,357 to winning bidder Clear Data Solutions for one laptop and two desktops for the assessor’s office and two laptops for the clerk’s office, including software and peripheral equipment.
