NORFOLK -- One person was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital Sunday following a two-vehicle collision on County Route 38, according to state police.
Troopers responded to a report of an accident around 2 p.m. and an investigation at the scene revealed a 2012 Ford F-150 operated by Robert E. Regan, 48, Potsdam, was traveling west on CR 38, when he struck a 2011 Kia Forte, operated by Donna L. Tiernan, 63, of Waddington.
Tiernan allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign when turning onto CR 38 off of County Route 49, officers said.
Regan was transported by Norfolk Rescue to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for an evaluation, officers said. He was later released from the hospital.
Tiernan was reportedly issued a ticket for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign.
Tiernan and a 10-year old passenger were not injured, police said.
