POTSDAM -- Potsdam Central School has named Hannah Holt and Charles Helenbrook as their 2018 class leaders.
Holt, the valedictorian, is the daughter of Paul and Nanette Holt. She has a 98.46 cumulative average.
She is co-captain of both the varsity swimming and varsity track and field teams. She has participated in Drama Club, Orchestra and Choir, as well as many other clubs and activities during her tenure at Potsdam High School. She hopes to study chemistry and biochemistry at a university of her choosing.
Helenbrook, the salutatorian, is the son of Julie and Brian Helenbrook. He has a 97.57 cumulative average.
Helenbrook has been an active member of the hockey, golf, and soccer teams, as well as a member of Model UN and National Honor
Society.
He is the recipient of many accolades, including the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award Scholarship.
He plans to attend Villanova University to major in mechanical engineering.
