POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Central High-school class of 1970 was planning a reunion this summer in July.

Due to the pandemic and the uncertainty of how things will unfold this summer as far as travel, the decision was made to cancel.

A number of people had already sent in their checks. Instead of returning the money, Phil Demarest a member of the class of 1970, suggested his money could go for ordering pizzas for the hardworking people at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital who are on the front lines of fighting this virus.

A number of other class members followed suit and 20 pizzas were delivered to CPH in appreciation and gratitude for all that they are doing to keep our community safe.

The pizzas were from the Potsdam Pizza Hut and Little Italy.
