POTSDAM — The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce has created a GoFundMe page to benefit Canton-Potsdam Hospital staff.
The fundraiser has a goal of $5,000 and as of Wednesday afternoon $1,695 had been raised. To donate, visit www.gofundme.com/f/donate-to-the-cantonpotsdam-hospital-staff
The statement on the GoFundMe page is as follows:
“Thank you for your interest in our donation program during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“All of the proceeds collected will be donated to St Lawrence Health System: Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the form of Potsdam Chamber Gift Certificates. These gift certificates will be given to administration at the hospital, weekly, for distribution at their discretion.
“By donating to this fundraiser, you will be contributing to the purchase of Potsdam Chamber Gift Certificates. These gift certificates will be distributed to the staff at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for their use at our member businesses. These gift certificates will allow our healthcare workers to purchase meals, groceries, services, and more, all right here in the Greater Potsdam Area.”
Potsdam Chamber gift certificates are valid for 5 years.
