OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring the 6th annual Operation Sock-It-To-Me community outreach project through Sept. 30 as a way of ensuring all area families, especially the children, have warm feet this winter.
Going without socks or having to wear worn out socks leads to a multitude of foot conditions some of which are: athletes foot, calluses, persistent fungus, blisters, chafed skin, cracked skin, infections, foot pain and worst of all trench foot, said a press release from the auxiliary.
CHMC Auxiliary’s sock drive is collecting new socks to give to men, women and children in the community.
There will be drop boxes located in the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Lobby and Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Cornerstone Cafe.
Arrangements can be made to pick up donations.
Call Ramona or Allyson at 315-393-1559 to make arrangements for a pick up if necessary.
