OGDENSBURG -- The Board of Elections has counted write-in votes in the Ogdensburg mayor and city councilor races.
Mike Skelly, mayoral candidate, received 1,457 votes. Incumbent Republican Wayne Ashley received 470 and Democrat Sam LaMacchia 370.
Because he ran a write-in campaign, Skelly’s name was not listed on the ballot and write-in ballots were not counted until today.
In a three-way race for six City Council seats, write-in candidate John Rishe received 1,266 votes. . Republican Steven Fisher garnered 1,586 votes. Republican William B. Dillabough appears to have won the third council seat with 1,103 votes. Republican David Price received 878, incumbent Jennifer Stevenson 715 and Timothy Davis 558.
