OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education voted in favor of the 2017-2018 BOCES administrative budget on Monday.

The tentative budget approved by the board totals $6,341,752.

State BOCES Reform Legislation requires that each component district annually vote by resolution on the tentative administrative budget.

A public budget hearing will be held at the next Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, May 3, followed by the annual school budget vote on Tuesday, May 16.

The board also adopted a resolution to cast votes for the annual election of BOCES members, voting for candidates Nancy Cappellino (Gouverneur), Marjorie McCullough (Hammond) and Dana Smith (Madrid-Waddington).

The three are the only candidates listed on the ballot to fill three vacancies in the St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES district.
