STOCKHOLM -- A North Lawrence man faces a dozen charges following a state police investigation into stolen property.
Louis J. Smith, 36, was charged Monday with second-degree possession of a forged instrument, felony and misdemeanor charges of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and false inspection certificate, officers said.
He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without a license, police said.
Additionally, Smith was cited for three license plate infractions and failure to attach sticker to motor vehicle, police said.
He was reportedly charged at 7:55 p.m. on State Highway 11C.
Police listed Smith as held.
