NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Fire Department made their yearly visit to the Norfolk Library for Fire Prevention week.
Kids at the preschool story hour enjoyed a presentation by Norfolk volunteer firemen Ricky Coller and Vernon Wolfe, who gave a great presentation for Fire Prevention week.
The children watched as the firemen donned the equipment that they use to fight fires. After putting on all the equipment, and looking a little scary, Rick assured the children that they need not be afraid.
The kids tried on the coat and helmet and even gave the firemen a hug.
Children were then invited to pass through the truck and see how everything worked.
As the truck pulled away children ran to the windows to get one last look as the lights flashed and the siren blared.
