NORWOOD — Norwood-Norfolk Central School District voters approved a $24.2 million budget, a 2.53% increase.
Voters also approved the purchase of four school buses for no more than $350,000, according to school officials.
School board incumbents Mary Ellen Todd and Suzanne Fiacco were reelected to three-year terms with 189 and 186 votes respectively.
Filling the remaining to empty school board seats were write-ins Artie Frego, with 23 votes, and Robert Barlow, with 14 votes.
NNCS did not include funding for a student resource officer in its budget like several other schools around the county.
However, the school will add a mental health counselor position in an effort to meet the needs of students.
