NORWOOD – Two members of the St. Lawrence County Historical Society, James and Susan Carl, recently helped fund the installation of a direction sign on Main Street to Fountain Park, said a press release from the Save the Fountain Project group.
The park on Prospect Street is the site of the recently restored 100-year-old Norwood fountain, and was recently featured in the Society’s December Quarterly publication.
The sign was constructed and installed by the Norwood Seaway BOCES Welding Class and instructor Larry Ashley.
The fountain group is still selling legacy bricks to add to the memorial brick walkway in the part. Brick orders will be taken until July 15.
They can be ordered online at www.bricksrus.com/donorsite/fountain. Paper forms are available at the park and Norwood municipal building.
