As Mueller Report is revealed, North Country Rep. Stefanik focusing on election interference by Russians, others

North Country Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, says she credits U.S. Attorney General William Barr with presenting the Mueller report today “with a high degree of transparency, no executive privilege, limited redactions, (resulting) in a report of no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.”

And she credits herself with standing up for “full transparency” in the report ‘s presentation.

“I have consistently supported the Mueller investigation and was one of the first Members to call for transparency of the Mueller Report to the American people,” she said in a statement Thursday. “I will be reading the Mueller Report as it is made available to Members of Congress."

“AG Barr was clear that the process was completed with a high degree of transparency, no executive privilege, limited redactions, and resulted in a report of no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Her statement did not address the continuing controversy over the investigation of obstruction of justice, as the nation waits to see what the Mueller investigation unearthed in their examination of the question.

“I am proud of my record of calling for full transparency, and will continue to focus on what matters: interference in our elections by Russia and other foreign adversaries,” Stefanik said.
