MASSENA — The Massena Rotary Club helped out Sunday at the food distribution in Massena.

Food distributed included roughly 4,500 gallons of milk, 1500 dairy boxes that included sour cream, cottage cheese, string cheese, and yogurt. Also give away was lettuce, carrots, onions, potatoes, oranges and apples.

Rotarians helped until the food was gone.

The food distribution was made possible by St. Lawrence County Legislator Rita Curran and Massena Town Councilman Sam Carbone, according to Darcy Sharpe, Rotarian.

Through a collaboration with Malone Mayor Andrea Dumas, the USDA Food Program, Glazier Packing, and the Massena Central School District, residents were be able to pick up food in front of the high school from 9 a.m. to noon.
