BRASHER FALLS -- A missing persons complaint ended with a man charged with possessing a tractor allegedly stolen from downstate.

Benjamin F. Marsh, 38, of County Route 50, Brasher Falls is charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

While investigating a missing persons complaint at Marsh’s residence, deputies said they found him in possession of a John Deere tractor reported stolen from Cortland County in October of last year.

The missing person was later discovered in good health, according to deputies.

Marsh was arraigned in county court and released. He will appear in Brasher Town Court on a later date, deputies said.

Sheriff deputies were assisted by New York state troopers.
