MASSENA — Massena/Louisville Relay For Life will not host an event in 2020.
“We are sad to share that there will not be a Massena/Louisville relay for life event this year,” organizers said on Facebook.
The event, which changed its name to Rally for a Cure in later years, was last held in June this year.
Organizers said that over the last several years attendance and fundraising for this event has continued to decline and the committee has decided not to host an event this year.
“That being said, each of us are still supporting the cause through individual fundraising and/or by joining other local relay events,” the post said. “Please consider doing the same; events like these truly cannot go on without all of your continued support.”
For anyone needing more information these are some of the other local events: Relay for Life of SUNY Potsdam, March 27; Relay for Life of Clarkson University (TBD); Relay for Life of Malone, June 13; St. Lawrence County Colors of Cancer Walk (Ogdensburg Relay for Life), June 20.
