CANTON -- Five defendants in drug cases that involve meth, heroin and cocaine appeared in front of Judge Jerome Richards in St. Lawrence County Court on Monday:

• Jamie Northrup of Massena was sentenced to two years in state prison for two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug and one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first-degree criminal nuisance. She and a co-defendant were charged in Massena on Jan. 25. Police executed a search warrant at her residence and at the time said they found crack, heroin, cash and drug paraphernalia. She was indicted by a grand jury on March 6 and pleaded to the indictment the same day. Her attorney is Daniel Ramsey of Massena. She is also to be on post-release supervision for two years.

• Tajona McRae of Syracuse pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and will be sentenced July 29. She and three co-defendants were charged Sept. 15 in Massena following a traffic stop that police say turned up cocaine, a set of metal knuckles and glass pipes with crack cocaine residue. She was indicted by a grand jury on Feb. 21.

• Ruth Green admitted to a probation violation and faces sentencing on Dec. 20 for one felony count of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine. She and a co-defendant were accused of making meth in Waddington on Dec. 3, 2017. She was indicted on April 6 and pleaded guilty to the indictment the same day. She is represented by attorney Daniel Ramsey of Massena.

• Renee Boileau waived her right to have the case heard by a grand jury and pleaded guilty to third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and will be sentenced July 29. She was ordered to forfeit a vehicle as part of the plea. She was charged stemming from a Sept. 8 offense. She is represented by attorney Keith Massey of Ogdensburg.

• Kevin Castor completed interim probation for felony aggravated driving while intoxicated. His felony plea was vacated and he pleaded to misdemeanor DWI and was placed on three years' probation. The charge stems from a Nov. 23, 2017 offense. A grand jury indicted him on April 2. He is represented by attorney Vaughan Aldrich of Hogansburg.
