MASSENA -- The Massena Town Council will hold a special meeting Friday at noon in the Town Hall room 30.
They will discuss "a loan guarantee for Massena Memorial Hospital," according to Town Supervisor Steve O'Shaughnessy.
Town Clerk Pam Catanzerite said they "just got this information" on Thursday.
MMH is transitioning to a private, non-profit entity. Voters on Election Day passed a referendum allowing the town to transfer MMH’s assets to St. Lawrence Health System. That process could still take several months or more.
