Massena settles on new town, village logo

MASSENA -- The town and village have announced their new logo.

After taking the suggestions provided by the local community, a brand strategy committee has selected two variations that will be used. The primary logo will be the St. Lawrence River with a ship sailing through the sunset. The secondary logo will be a nature view with the three local rivers being represented. The official launch date for the new logo is Wednesday, June 3.

The new logo will be used on letterheads, websites, social media, and other applicable media.

“The people have spoken and made their voice heard and the choice was overwhelming. The logo was a great project to work on with a very talented group; everyone had their own likes, dislikes, and input and ideas about the representation of Massena. The logo sets the tone for the branding initiative and work will continue to move forward on the website and app as well. H3 designs, as a local business, really had a true advantage as local talent with vision and knowledge of Massena,” Town Councilor Sam Carbone said in a prepared statement.

“The feedback from our fellow community members as well as from others in the recreation and tourism industries proved to be quite useful. I continue to be impressed with the direction of H3 Designs and the branding committee. This new logo is just one part of a much larger branding initiative, which when complete will better position our community to promote all that we are and have to offer,” Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor Matt Lebire said in a prepared statement.
