MASSENA -- Massena school district officials expect to have their draft capital project plans released sometime next month.
Superintendent Pat Brady at the school board’s Thursday meeting said they have a long list of potential projects, which they have to pare down to fit the $50 million budget.
"Much of it is HVAC and roofs and fire alarms and other types of infrastructure which seem to be coming due in terms of their useful life at the same time,” he said.
They may be able to go back and add more once the work actually starts, because estimates tend to be high.
He said the district’s architect will be at the June meeting, when the board will vote on a list of projects.
"Once the board approves the draft scope of the project ... September, October we'll be reaching out doing public meetings and other presentations,” Brady said.
Brady anticipates their capital project plan to go to the voters in a December referendum.
