MASSENA -- The Board of Education on Thursday released a 31-page document detailing their progress in achieving their district goals for the 2018-2019 school year.
The goals are broken down into three categories: which specific actions or strategies taken to reach each, a detailed description including who was responsible, and the date or dates on which it happened.
The three goals are "promote the continual improvement of instructional programs to raise the quality of educational services and student achievement," "strive to provide the highest level of programs and services within the parameters of limited financial resources," and "promote a safe, healthy, and positive learning environment."
Some of the specific actions outlined include the development of block scheduling at the junior high, exploration of the school resource officer position and development of the pending districtwide capital project.
