MASSENA -- The Massena Central School board on Tuesday adopted a new student code of conduct.
The vote was preceded by a public hearing where no one spoke.
“There were slight changes in the language, partly for the personal use of technology … in classrooms and other areas of the schools. There was information added on hazing as well, to strengthen that area,” Superintendent Pat Brady said.
“Under rights of students, it gives them responsibilities that coincide. I liked that,” trustee Pat Bronchetti said.
The policy passed with a 6-0 vote. Board members John Boyce, Jason Premo and Ron Faucher were not at the meeting.
