A Massena pair is jailed downstate without bail after state troopers say they caught them with over 200 pounds of marijuana.
Troopers in Chatham charged Corey W. Heald, 29, and Kelly L. Heald, 51, both of Massena with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a class C felony.
Troopers say around 10 a.m. Friday, they stopped a vehicle on the Berkshire Spur portion of the NYS Thruway for an unspecified vehicle and traffic law violation.
Police say a K9 alerted them to over 200 pounds of the plant in several hockey bags inside the vehicle.
Both Healds were arraigned in Livingstone Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail, troopers said.
