MASSENA -- A Massena man was charged with fleeing police and driving while intoxicated following a Saturday morning pursuit, according to state troopers.
Cory C. Blanchard, 41, is charged with DWI and third-degree fleeing police in a motor vehicle, trooper said.
Troopers say they tried to pull over what they described as a “suspicious vehicle” on Highland Avenue around 3:15 a.m.
The vehicle then went onto state Route 37 eastbound, failing to pull over and continuing to 24 Malby Ave., police said.
There, Blanchard refused to submit to a breathalyzer test, troopers allege.
He was cited and released with tickets for Massena Village Court on a later date, troopers said.
