WADDINGTON — Lisbon and Waddington residents were hospitalized following a two vehicle personal-injury accident Thanksgiving Day on State Highway 37, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies said Judith A. Buchardt, 72, Ogdensburg, was driving northeast and struck a vehicle being driven by Ray C. Kentner, 94, Lisbon.
Officers said Kentner’s vehicle was positioned sideways in Buchardt’s lane of travel as if he was attempting to make a three-point turn.
Kentner was transported to the Ogdensburg airport by Waddington Rescue where he was flown by Life Net to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for his injuries, deputies said.
Buchardt was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center by Waddington Rescue for minor injuries, officers said.
The investigation is ongoing.
State police and the Waddington Fire Department assisted on scene.
