FT. JACKSON -- State Police had to shoot a horse injured in a pickup truck-Amish buggy accident last Thursday morning.
Troopers said a GMC driven by Matthew Bray, 41, Winthrop, went out of control and hit the horse pulling a buggy operated by Eli Miller, 27, also of Winthrop.
The buggy went off the side of the road near a bridge on Converse Road at about 6 a.m. Feb. 26.
The horse was euthenized at the scene by investigating troopers at the request of Miller, police said.
No other injuries were reported, troopers said, and no tickets were issued.
