Has that playground in your neighborhood seen better days?
Do you wish there was a community garden in your town?
Is it time your good ideas on ways to make your community a healthier place to live, work and play become reality?
The Health Initiative’s Creating Healthy Places St. Lawrence County Project, a New York State Department of Health grant-funded program, may be able to help.
Five regional community action groups are forming to identify projects to increase physical activity and promote healthy eating in communities across the county.
Each region will have grant funds available to help implement projects to get their communities moving and eating healthier.
To join a Creating Healthy Places Community Action Group, contact CHP Director Karen Bage, 261-4760, ext. 224, or karen@gethealthyslc.org, for more information.
