POTSDAM -- A. A. Kingston Middle School recently offered a team handball tournament over several days as a fundraiser to benefit both the school physical education program and the Northern Zone section of the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD).
The money raised will go for new equipment and activities for the students to enjoy through physical education classes and student recognition events.
A wide range of students from 5th to 8th grade came out and participated in the tournament.
"Not only did the students benefit from additional physical activity but they had a fun time focusing on teamwork and sportsmanship through friendly competition," said PE teacher Dillion Chichester.
